OUR STORY

Welcome to our online store. My name is Mila Greaves and I started 9Senses in 2015 to share my passion for products that comfort the body and mind.

I’m the mother of two beautiful girls who inspire me everyday. One of my daughters is on the Autism spectrum and is a sensory seeker, meaning she is very sensitive to stimulation from her environment.

To help her, I spent countless hours learning how to make natural, soothing products that she could find comforting. I started with handmade soaps, and then branched out into other bath and body products.

Like many other entrepreneurs, 9Senses started as a part-time passion project. The incredible feedback from friends and family who loved receiving our gentle soaps, soothing bath soaks and relaxing neck pillows as gifts led us to start exhibiting at local markets. As we continued to grow, we soon had a loyal following and spent almost every weekend at craft shows throughout Ontario. Now I can dedicate myself full-time to making an increasing range of natural bath and body products, and send our goods as far as Portugal, Turkey and Romania.

Family is very important to me. That’s why it’s such a joy that my two daughters and husband work alongside me to build 9Senses into a values-driven business that touches the lives of more and more people every year.

Bath and Body Products

Nature and respect for the environment has always been important to me. That is why all body products are completely natural and contain skin-nourishing ingredients. All my soaps are cold-pressed in small batches using heirloom techniques perfected and polished over time.

9Senses for Autism

In addition to providing quality bath and body products, 9Senses sells products that strive to improve the quality of life for young people on the Autistic spectrum. These include weighted sensory therapy products such as blankets and lap pads. This therapeutic device is also helpful for adults with Alzheimer's, PTSD, ADD and other conditions that affect the ability to focus and stay calm.

My goal is to make these available to everyone who needs them and to make a positive difference in their lives. From every sale of sensory therapy products, I will donate 5% of the proceeds to the Autism York Region Chapter.
